The 8th.December is commemorated annually and marks
the engagement of The German Fleet by the Royal Navy during WW1.
Known as the Battle of Coronel and the Battle of Falkland Islands.
Many of the Royal Navy casualties were brought ashore in Stanley for Medical Treatment
